Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) are an energetic psychological process developed by Gary Craig (1995), that works with the body-mind energy system by releasing all kinds of emotional, mental, physical and spiritual problems.
How does it work? These techniques represent an emotional version of acupuncture without the use of needles; the points corresponding to meridians are “tapped with the fingers”. “Tapping” means hitting lightly with the fingers in order to stimulate the meridians (energetic channels of our body).
By stimulating certain energetic points, the person connects with her/his problem and the tapping starts. This allows the person to release negative emotions or pain. In other words, this tapping harmonizes the energy of the body. (G.Craig)
According to the Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT):
“The cause of all negative emotions is a lack of harmony in the energy system of the body.”
As diseases and physical pains are obviously related to our emotions, the following statement demonstrates to be true:
“Our unresolved negative emotions are the most common source of our diseases and pains.”
This approach was established by Albert Einstein, 1920. He said that everything (including our bodies) consists of energy. These ideas have been ignored by traditional medicine, and that is why the Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) are successful in cases where nothing else can be done.
The Emotional Freedom Techniques can be applied effectively in the following cases: Addictions to food, cigarettes, alcohol or drugs, allergies, anxiety, weight loss, breathing difficulties, depression, anorexia, fears and phobias, losses, emotional pain, insomnia, guilt, emotional or physical abuse, trauma, and many other cases. Moreover, these techniques enhance the concentration, self-confidence, relationships, self-esteem, abundance and performance in fields like sports, arts, sales or businesses.
